Welcome Bonnie! I'm Anna, the techy in the class. Now you get to choose an elvish last name. You can ask Anne to translate a name for you or something else. I'll see you in class! Anna P.S. Bonnie would you please not show your real last name? It's for safety reasons because this site is open to anyone on the WWW who wants to look. Thanks! (Can you tell I'm the techy? )

Glad to see some of you are enjoying the forum. If you have any ideas to get talkin' so we're all a little more familiar with one another for the summer classes, please let me know! (Anne's not going to be happy with me for this... ) While we're here to learn more about Tolkien and his beautiful languages, we can have a little off-topic fun in the process... (say "of course", Anne. *g*) Soo...if you want to get more detailed in these intros or anything like that, really, I'd say to go for it! *promises not to be too power-hungry with her mod powers* Anyway. I'm Rebecca, the secretary of the class. I'm 15 and I live on an Arabian horse breeding farm in California. I love horseback riding, ice skating, reading, singing, violin, piano, writing, and much, much more! (And Tolkien, obviously. *dorky grin*) I haven't been exposed to a horrifying amount of Tolkien but, like most of you, I'm in love with what I have read. ;D I sure we'll all have a wonderful time this summer. Until then, happy studying on those finals, have an awesome end-of-the-school-year, and God bless! Valete! -Rebecca

Great idea, Rebecca! Let's see... a more detailed account. Well, I have read almost all of Tolkien's works, many I have read again over, and over, and over... I love languages, have studied Latin for two years, and really, really hope to study more languages (Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic to name the top list) I also enjoy reading, piano, reading, writing, studying, school, teaching piano and Latin, and babysitting little kids (also my six siblings ) I am thirteen years old, and I live in California. Valete! Blessings in Christ, Juliet

*Quenarth nods her head* "Of course." Heh heh. Why not? Have a little 'Meanderings' thread where you can have a poll for your favourte ice cream flavor and talk about why Liv Tyler is worse then Orlando Bloom. Go ahead and make yourselves a fun spot! ~Anne

Hi all, my name is Zach. I live in Southern California and I am 15 yrs old. I have read the Lord of the Rings books, the Silmarillion, the Hobbit, and a little bit of some of Tolkien's other books, and I love all of the LOTR movies. I enjoy playing the piano (which I have done for 11 years), listening to music (mainly classical), reading books, playing video games, soccer, and baseball, mountain biking, and doing martial arts. I have taken two years of Latin, and hope to learn another language or two in the future. I hope to become a computer programmer later in life, enjoy math, unlike most people, and have fun just messing around on the computer.

Glad to have you aboard, Juliet, Abi, and Zach! It looks like California is an elf-friendly state, and if we can't learn Quenya or fail to properly communicate in English, we can converse in Latin. Have fun posting! (You know we have post count contests around here? ;D) ~ Rebecca

Happy b-day to both of you! Now Rebecca I can't speak Latin and I've never taken it! We should talk in greek, Koine greek (or NT greek) to be exact. And also Rebecca, don't you dare think about quiting as secretary. (Anne and I would die if you did that! ;D) Anna
