Hello all and welcome to the chat board! First off I would like to thank Anna for all her hard work on creating it and second (but not least) Rebecca. She was the one who started the idea of me giving lessons and arranged many things, taking a great deal of work off my hands. But because of computer difficulties she will not be joining us for classes.
Now, a little bit about myself. This comming March I will have studied Elvenesse for five years. All of my learning has been taken from Tolkien's works and carefully examined information from various scources. What I teach will only be what he created. I will not add any theories of my own or use wild guess work. Some assumptions can be made, but I make very few of them and only with good reason and lots of back up.
We will start with Quenya for classes. For practise class Sindarin (conversation Elvish) will be taught. All of these lessons are merely for the fun and joy of learning new (interesting) things. You'll find that as you learn the language, you will discover many intriguing facts about Middle-earth. Your progress will depend on how comitted you are, for although we will have fun some work will be involved.
All in all, I hope to make this an expierience you won't forget!
